Summer Lead/Assistant Teachers

Summary
SUMMER is almost upon us and we are looking to hire a few more staff members for our Camp Lotta-Fun program. This is a great opportunity for college students in the field of education. Gain valuable classroom experience lesson planning, collaborating with co-teachers, working with children and learning classroom management skills. Full time and part-time positions. Duties Interact with children on a one on one and group basis Set-up and maintain a clean, welcoming and inviting classroom Plan developmentally appropriate activities Develop weekly lesson plans that include art, science, math, literacy, music and movement, and outdoor activities Work as a teaching team with lead teacher directing as needed Engage children in small and large group activities and encourage independent skills Provide comfort, encouragement and support to all children Post daily adventures on classroom Facebook Group Page for parents Attend weekly field trips to various activities Requirements Depending on position: Associates Degree, college coursework in the field of education A strong understanding of child development Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills Class management skills Experience in writing lesson plans (depending on position) Ability to implement school resources to benefit children's development Ability to be flexible and able to adjust program plan to best benefit children Ability to communicate with other staff, parents, and children in a positive manner Ability to relate to children with joy, compassions, sensitivity and encouragement Evidence of emotional maturity and stability Evidence of good judgement Physical stamina to perform duties Must clear full background check & fingerprinting required by the State of WI Nice To Haves CPR training Experience with different age groups of children Previous experience working in a team teaching setting Enjoys being creative and thinks outside the box Brings a favorite skill or hobby that can benefit others Benefits

Full time employees (32+ hrs/wk) receive holiday pay Monthly bonus from State of WI Child Care Counts program based on scheduled hours Payroll every two weeks
