Description
Welcome to the Future of Reverse Logistics at Amazon!
At Amazon, we do things differently, especially in Reverse Logistics. Are you ready to be part of a team that is not just innovating but building the very foundation of what Reverse Logistics should be? Do you find inspiration in solving complex problems and thrive in the face of ambiguity? Are you passionate about contributing to operations that directly impact the customer and seller experience?
If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then the ReLo Ops Integration and Programs Team on the WW Returns & Recommerce Team is the place for you. We are a dynamic team of problem solvers working tirelessly to shape the future of Returns Logistics operations. Currently, we are on the lookout for a visionary leader with grit and fortitude to spearhead our Ideal Return Center ( IRC ) Program – a groundbreaking initiative responsible for delivering our Gen 0 built-to-suit returns center(s). If you're not afraid of challenges and are excited about influencing long-term operational strategy, this role is tailor-made for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be at the forefront of our IRC program, collaborating closely with ReLo Ops, WW R&R Strategy & Tech Teams, WWDE , GESS , Mechatronics, Robotics, and other operational support teams. Your mission: to lead the strategy and execution of this groundbreaking initiative, positioning Amazon at the forefront of Reverse Logistics innovation.
Key Responsibilities: Integrated Approach:
Lead MHE Tech integration, process and MHE experimentation, as well as retrofit strategy and implementations. Ensure seamless coordination between Operations, Program Management, Construction, Product Development, Software/Hardware Engineering, and Systems Architecture.
Risk Management:
Own the coordination, communication, and risk management, serving as a liaison between various teams. Your ability to build relationships and synthesize operational needs will be crucial in delivering a world-class returns center.
Driving Efficiency:
Aim at improving the efficiency and lowering the cost of Amazon's next-generation Returns Centers. Validate new capabilities, generate field insights, and identify new requirements relevant to scaling.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Sr. Program Manager with a diverse background in construction, warehouse startups, MHE tech implementation and launches or all of the above; but most importantly a person where adversity fuels their ability to succeed. Your problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and knack for influencing business, senior leaders and technical leaders will be instrumental in shaping the success of this initiative.
Why Join Us:
By joining our team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape a program that impacts 100's of millions of customers and supports sellers across the globe. If you are ready for a challenge and have a passion for building something truly impactful, we want to talk to you. Be part of a team where your contributions will redefine the future of Reverse Logistics. Are you up for it? Let's build together!
Key job responsibilities
- Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations
- Work directly with operations leaders, support leaders, and third party vendors to design and deliver scalable solutions
- Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and deliver on-time
- Own program communication; accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, removing barriers, escalating as appropriate
- Influence design and development of strategic processes
- Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate the impact of critical business initiatives
- Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions
- Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end-to-end outcomes for Amazon customers and sellers
- Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence
