Remote Work Requirements:
You must maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, with a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours. You should also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for maintaining the connection if necessary.
Travel Requirements:
This position may involve on-site work, occasionally on weekends or exceeding 40 hours per week. Travel and related expenses are reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
Essential Functions:
Assist in developing strategic and operational policy documents, including strategic plans, concepts of operation, directives, and memorandums.
Support meetings by taking detailed notes and providing briefings to government staff.
Aid in the development of national and stakeholder-level policies and plans, as well as conduct training courses and workshops.
Design curriculum and deliver training in both classroom and virtual settings.
Create training development plans and course materials suitable for senior officials.
Conduct needs analysis, develop business case studies, and facilitate focus groups.
Conduct evaluation activities, including tests and drills.
Focus on collecting, managing, and analyzing government mission resilience data at various levels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Current Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficiency in IT and document management tools.
Advanced knowledge of standard office procedures and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to changes.
Strong customer service orientation.
Minimum Qualifications:
More than 10 years of experience in emergency planning with COOP experience.
Must reside in commuting distance of the National Capital Region.
Must possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Master's Degree.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
FEMA Master Continuity Practitioner with completion of the Continuity Excellence Series (CES) Level II requirements.
