We are a woman-owned and operated public accounting firm that needs to add a dynamic individual to our staff. We need someone looking for long-term employment, and who wants to learn and grow as an accounting professional. Our firm's clients are small businesses, trusts, and individual tax filers.
The position is for an experienced Senior Accountant. The position is salaried and full-time.
Your responsibilities will include: - Being the lead accountant for our priority clients
- Supervising and reviewing the monthly and quarterly financial statements complied by
2-3 staff accountants
- Job will require working out of both of our offices. Travel to the Sterling Heights office at will be expected.
- Reviewing quarterly payroll tie-outs and reports
- Responding to client inquiries about their account status
- Responding to client tax notices
- Maintaining and growing relationships with most valuable accounts
Your experience MUST include, at minimum: - 3-5 years as a staff accountant
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Working knowledge of MS office & Adobe products
Your qualifications should include: - Strong written and oral communication skills
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in accounting
- Proficient at using QuickBooks Online and Sage accounting software
- Must be able to sit for the EA exam (within one year of joining the firm) or already be a licensed EA/CPA
