Description
Summary:
Responsible for the protection of all assets of the property as well as assisting with the day to day operation and direct supervision of assigned activities within the Security department. Oversee overall department and/or shift(s) as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
Inspects and evaluates Security officers for alertness, appearance and proper performance while on duty, and corrects deficiencies.
Evaluates Security officers on knowledge of security duties and recommends training needed for officers.
Maintains a monthly training schedule for all Officers.
Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members
Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Qualifications
Six (6) years of Casino Security or related experience or an equivalent combination of military, law enforcement, or other supervisory/management experience
High school diploma or equivalent
College is a plus
Military experience (in a security environment) or Law Enforcement is a plus
Computer literate -required when writing reports with Security systems.
Ability to express self in writing and verbally.
Ability to respond to complaints and be able to resolve them in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
Ability to understand the (MICS) Minimum Internal Control Standards of the company.
Ability to handle complaints with sensitivity
Knowledge of the Laws of Detention.
The primary language spoken and written is English. Must have the ability to read and interpret written Rules and Regulations.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

Physical Requirements
Typically walking, running, stooping of assigned patrol area. Standing and or walking up to a 100% of their shift.
Occasionally sitting at desk.
Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in smoky, noisy environment with bright lights.
Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail.
Regularly works in extreme conditions of cold, hot, damp, wet and/or dry environments.
Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical).
Good vision or have corrective lenses so as to have 20/20 vision
Work Environment Potential Conditions
The immediate work environment is smoke free, however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
