Responsibilities
• Engage in demographic research with public policy applications• Develop statistical framework for computation of confidence or credible intervals• Generate small area estimates based on census and survey data• Allocate data for high level geographies to granular geographic levels• Utilize weighting surfaces computed from correlated small area data• Contribute to a culture of environmental stewardship• Practice resource conservation• Adhere to PSU's policies on Prohibited Discrimination & Harassment and Professional Standards of Conduct• Create an inclusive and multicultural working environment• Collaborate effectively in diverse settings
Requirements
• Doctoral or equivalent degree• ABD candidates will be considered contingent upon degree completion• Advanced knowledge of statistics• Knowledge of census or survey data and GIS is a plus• Experience building reproducible and generalized research frameworks and tools
