Research Associate

Description: The candidate will be working collaboratively with a large production team of FTE's and contractors to deliver daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines. The candidate will primarily be responsible for operating manual and automated lab processes in a PCR lab. The role may also include additional various tasks in sample prep, PCR, general lab stocking and supply upkeep.
Day to day: Performs laboratory technical tasks. Responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Will be required to offer assistance in the operation of the equipment and the gathering of data. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking. 3-5 things that will occupy their time: processing samples through PCR via manual and automated lab equipment, prepping and stocking lab consumables, and sample prep. Additional Skills & Qualifications: B.S. in Biology OR related science.
