Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, TX Full Time Position POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: Degree: Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's in Nursing Education: Accredited by ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Additional Certifications : Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Experience: Shall have a minimum of one (1)-year of relative experience within the last three (3)-years, which includes the care of adults and newborns. Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island. U.S. Citizenship : Shall be a U.S. citizen English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate. Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract . HOURS: It's a 24/7 facility therefore hours of performance shall be as set forth by the applicable Department Chief or his/her designated Government representative. Contractor will ensure a minimum of four (4) 12-hour shifts per month coverage per each RN. Hour in excess of 80-hours in a two (2) week period is considered overtime and must be approved in advance in accordance. A minimum 30-minute and not to exceed one (1)-hour unpaid meal break provided during the shift S ervices will not exceed 80-hours in a two (2) week period. W ill be required to work on federally recognized holidays.
