Worksite Location: Owatonna, MN What you'll do as a Purchasing Associate: Manage the purchasing process to ensure timely acquisition of necessary materials and supplies for the facility Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing and terms Monitor inventory levels and place orders to prevent shortages and disruptions in production Utilize AS400/IBMi systems to manage purchasing data, track orders, and maintain accurate records Ensure all purchasing activities are documented accurately and are easily retrievable Coordinate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide timely updates on order status Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or invoices Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and follow up on pending issues to ensure resolution What you'll bring to the Purchasing Associate role: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Proficiency with AS400/IBMi systems Strong multitasking and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ensure follow-through on tasks Excellent communication and negotiation skills High attention to detail and accuracy Take the first step on your new career path!
