Patient Service Representative - bilingual preferred Location: Denver Colorado Pay rate: $18.28 - $25.36 Shift: Monday through Friday Hours: Days At Uptown Community Health Center we improve the health of our community and provide care that respects the dignity of each person, especially those that are underserved. We teach tomorrow's physicians and healthcare professionals to provide excellent medical care with compassion and kindness.
As a Patient Service Representative (PSR) you play a vital role in our operations by providing excellent customer service to our current and future patients. With a smile and a friendly attitude, you greet patients and register them for their visit. You handle emails and phone calls, answering questions, scheduling appointments, and gathering information. With close attention to detail, you are always sure to record any necessary notes in our patients' electronic health record. Additionally, you perform health insurance verification as well as take and record copay transactions. You love working with people and doing your part to ensure the best possible healthcare experience for our patients!
Qualifications:
Required:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Preferred:
*Two (2) years experience in integrated healthcare or primary care.
*Experience with Epic application and heath record.
* Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.
*Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy and fluency in both languages
