Mechanic 2Location:Metallurgical Complex (Smelter) - Columbus, MTSchedule:Rotating - 5x4x4x5Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:00pmNight Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00amJob Responsibilities and Duties:Proven safety record. Repair and service equipment such as pumps, mechanical seals, screw feeders, crushers, tower mills, hydraulics, fans, valves, and gearboxes as assigned. Installation and construction of new equipment and structural steel. Various building maintenance tasks including cleaning and repairs of operational and shop areas. Layout, cutting, welding and fabrication. Proficient at GTAW of 316L SS pipe. Proficient at SMAW of pipe and structural steel. Assist operations as required. Qualifications and Skills:Required:Proficient working knowledge of start-up and shut-down procedures of equipment. Experience with the use of overhead cranes. Ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance. Knowledge of rigging (lifting) procedures. Knowledge of pipefitting (316L SS & Steel), pumps, valves, hydraulics, and schematics. Knowledge of process flows. Ability to work in a team setting positively and productively. Must supply own hand tools. Able to pass 1" 5G welding test. Successful completion of the Met Complex Mechanical Application Test. Preferred:GTAW and SMAW certified or ability to obtain. Sibanye-Stillwater is an equal opportunity employer.
