We are looking for a Material Handling and Logistics Team Lead to join a global engineering and manufacturing leader in technology. The Material Handling and Logistics Team Lead is responsible for material transactions to support in-house manufacturing and customer orders along with shipping and receiving of components. This is a team-based role, in a respectful and culturally diverse workplace. The environment is safety conscious as well as temperature and humidity controlled. As Material Handling and Logistics Team Lead , you will:
Provide guidance, instructions, direction, and supervise the material and logistics teams Constantly seek and implement continuous improvements using Lean methodologies Serve as a resource to the team to resolve issues that prevent the team from achieving daily goals Mentor Team in structured problem solving Provide daily reports to management Guides, monitors, and assesses employees' performance and facilitate meaningful and productive performance discussions Actively participate in process development Assist receiving and store raw materials and finished goods from suppliers Lead incoming material inspections to ensure quality of materials Create reports as needed Assist with picking, transfer and setup materials for production jobs and customer orders Ensure stock inventory levels are maintained to adequately meet operational needs Ensure inventory accuracy by performing physical counts, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies Responsible for coordinating vendor managed inventory activities and replenishing KANBAN De-trash and dispose of boxes and other packaging Support companies compliance polices Assist with shipping and receiving of products Must-Have: High School Diploma Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in material handling/logistics lead position, preferably in a production environment Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions Ability to lift 40 pounds Key Success Factors: Self-motivated and an excellent team player Excellent organizational and analytical skills Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision Able to interact effectively with office staff and senior management Nice-to-Have: Experience and use of ERP and visual manufacturing processes and systems Experience in cycle counting and investigation of variances Lean warehouse and materials management experience Knowledge of supplier quality and supplier corrective action processes Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
