Job summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for comprehensive public affairs work programs.Responsible for developing marketing plans and creating effective messaging.Manages sensitive topics and crisis communication.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Develops, recommends, and implements comprehensive communications and marketing plans.• Works closely with Authority staff to produce timely marketing campaigns.• Oversees needs assessment to influence marketing strategies.• Recommends and implements a media relations program.• Reviews news releases and supports team that promotes department programs.• Develops a comprehensive digital strategy utilizing social media and other tools.• Drafts and posts relevant, timely, and accurate social media content.• Works with other agencies and community groups to communicate the SEA's position.• Creates a plan to utilize venue hospitality for business and economic development.• Facilitates ticket inventory distribution and record keeping.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.• 8-10 years of work experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.• Experience in digital marketing.• Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.• Strong oral communication skills.• Ability to deal directly with the public and staff.• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.• Ability to exercise good professional judgment.• Ability to manage professional service firms.
