The Manager of Primary Multi-Tiered Systems of Support plans, implements, and evaluates MTSS intervention throughout Uplift's primary schools, ensuring all scholars are able to access rigorous instruction. The MPMTSS leads schools to build intervention continuums, supports campus MTSS coordinators, and ensures fidelity of implementation. The Manager of Primary MTSS collaborates with the Primary MD team, the Primary Curriculum and Instruction team, and the larger Academic Strategy & Support team to develop network wide professional development for teachers and leaders. At the request of network leadership, the Manager of Primary MTSS provides coaching support and strategy development to school leaders who need additional assistance accelerating primary scholar learning. This position sits on the Academic Team and reports to the Director of Learning Acceleration. The MPMTSS manages a team of Coordinators. Duties/Responsibilities: Designs division-wide monitoring systems of intervention, ensuring increased student achievement and on-going compliance with federal, state, and network policies. Collects and presents scholar outcome data to network leadership regularly; evaluates and suggests improvements to better meet scholar needs. Develops evaluation instruments and uses data generated to guide program improvement and to monitor scholar progress. Observes interventions at assigned campuses and provides consistent feedback based on a predetermined set of expectations Collaborates with C&I team and schools to set intervention thresholds; assists schools in building intervention continuums Collaborates with diverse teams across the CMO to ensure alignment of intervention and ed tech software with network curriculum and Uplift's IB vision for excellence Plans and facilitates professional development for leader groups across all schools based on instructional needs. With Academic Directors, determines campus-specific programming; conducts regular check-ins and step backs to reflect and monitor progress and data. Monitors ongoing completion of HB3 Reading Academies for K-3 teachers and leaders; liaises with regional Educational Service Centers regarding teacher enrollment and completion. Manages the growth and development of team members through hiring, performance management, goal setting, disciplinary action, and regularly scheduled meetings. Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s) Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) from an accredited four-year university, experience managing projects, and valid Texas teacher certificate are required. An advanced degree and fluency in Spanish is a plus. Master's degree from an accredited educational institution (preferably in primary literacy or related field) preferred. Successful completion of TEA cohort leader screener preferred. Experience Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years successful K-5 math and/or literacy teaching experience is required. Adult leadership experience preferred. Required Skills/Abilities: Communication Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Mastery of both oral and written English with the ability to write general correspondence. Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. Excellent planning and logistics skills: the ability to envision a project's holistic work-steps and properly sequence those activities into streamline implementation. Bilingual Skills: none Technology: Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing. Ability to determine trends in data and develop action plans as needed. Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) Work Environment: Office out of CMO, though role requires frequent visits to select campuses across the DFW metroplex. Employee must retain reliable transportation and a valid Texas driver's license. Starting Salary: $65,000 Application Procedure:
