Responsibilities
• Accurately and efficiently cook hot food products• Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking• Plate and garnish cooked items• Prepare appropriate garnishes for hot menu item plates• Understand menu and required techniques for dishes• Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shift• Work as part of a team focused on a common goal• Bring necessary tools for the job• Properly taste and season food dishes• Work with different forms of heat and cooking methods• Apply criticism in a positive manner• Understand and have experience using various ingredients• Learn actively through inquiry• Maintain clean and organized work station• Identify product quality and freshness• Assist sous chefs with ordering and prep lists• Work flexible hours (nights, weekends)
Requirements
• Responsible, dependable, punctual• Strong communication skills (English)• Clean and professional appearance• Enthusiasm for 21c• Pass a background check• High school or equivalent education required• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
