JOB SUMMARY Provide equipment lease consultation and support to customers for Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation's (CFSC) Lease Services Department of North American Business Center. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as primary contact for lease customers for equipment usage, return conditions and lease options. Communicates directly with customers, dealers and the North America field force to resolve ongoing non-compliance disputes. Proactively consults with customers on machines exceeding usage during lease term to determine best course of action to avoid over-hour situations. Provides Operating Lease Conversion targets. Proactively contacts customers to discuss their end of lease options. Attempts to convert options to customers to financing, lease extensions or month to month arrangements. Creates salesforce cases for the support group to follow with required documentation on these options in addition to cash purchase invoicing. Negotiates with customers on pricing and finance structure of option financing purchases. Quotes the financing, conducts due diligence and makes credit decisions within authority. Creates salesforce cases for support team to process documentation and booking. Ensures machine return timeliness measurement. If customer desires to return the equipment to CFSC, encourages customer to have Dealer pre-inspection completed in the field. Consults with customer on repairs required to bring the machine back into required condition outlined in the Application Survey. Explains the return process to customer (Sales Center) and follows for machine return and final Non-Compliance charges. Performs loan and lease quotes, credit investigation, financial statement analysis, collateral evaluation, credit decision (within authority and makes recommendation to manager when customer exposure is beyond established credit authority) and execution of documents for all lease service processes. Follows established procedures for performing basic accounting duties. More specifically the inputting of financial data associated with option financing and/or refinances into our leasing system. Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the unit according to lean principles. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them. Understands the Harassment policy of the company and for its application in all aspects of employment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply math computation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply human relations skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Caterpillar equipment Demonstrated knowledge of leasing products Advanced ability to analyze customer credit applications. Advanced ability to read/analyze customer payment histories. Advanced knowledge of financing and taxation principles. Advanced knowledge of and ability to calculate payments and create amortization schedules. Demonstrated knowledge of CFSC documents. Proven ability to analyze and understand various business reports pertaining to the sale of Caterpillar equipment. Working knowledge of the industries served by Caterpillar. Working knowledge of accounting principles and ability to verify correctness and completeness of such information. A general working knowledge of leasing and quoting systems such as FinancExpress, CQS and Salesforce.com. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year college or university degree in any discipline and a minimum of 4 years exempt experience in credit, customer services, collections, marketing, financial statement analysis and/or related discipline is recommended. Previous work experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills, and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached.
