We're searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking laundry attendant committed to providing our guests with an exceptional stay at our hotel. Our laundry attendants perform a variety of tasks such as washing, ironing, pressing, and folding linens and should be comfortable talking with guests and making them feel at ease. Ideally, you have experience with industrial washing products and the capacity to lift 20 pounds or more regularly. If you're friendly, reliable, and take pride in a job well done, apply now!Responsibilities:Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendationsVerify that all laundry equipment is in good working order and alert the facilities manager of any repair needsPlace all laundry in the washer and add the cleaning agents as directedMaintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to general managerInspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniquesCheck that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the Director of Suite Operations if any are running lowLoad all laundry into the washer and add specific cleaning agents according to the directionsDry all laundry according to the cycles setTreat any stained linen according to the stainMonitor all laundry equipment and notify Maintenance and Director of Suite Operations of any issuesQualifications:1 or more year as a laundry attendant, housekeeper or a similar role is strongly desiredGood understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and productsGraduated high school, received GED or equivalentHard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skillsThis position requires the ability to lift 20 or more pounds regularlyPossess a strong work ethic with exemplary organizational, time management, and communication skillsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent1 or more years as a laundry attendant, housekeeper, or similar role is strongly desiredGood understanding of commercial cleaning techniques and productsAbout Company:The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Tifton is Tifton's only all-suite hotel – seamlessly blending exceptional service and functional design - offering the modern amenities our guests need and expect in order to stay refreshed and focused during their travels.We are a 100% Employee owned company, placing our Team Members (Owners) at the heart of our business which has led to our proven success – with consistent rankings in the top 5% of hotels in our brand.
