EDUCATIONAL Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Reliable and timely individual. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively as well as maintain a professional collaboration with all customers. Must be able to listen and follow directions. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be willing to complete Assess Training for Document Destruction Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, per company requirements. Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality. Adequate ability to communicate in spoken conversation – adequate volume speech. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers. Strong organizational, planning and proven analytical and multi-tasking skills. Experience with working with or around a shredding machine. Experience with handling unclassified and classified materials for destruction. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Project Manager, Phoenix Services

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY: Material shall be destroyed to a level that would make it difficult to recognize or reconstruct the information per CUI Notice 2019-03. Material to be shredded will NOT be classified. Upon notification, Contractor will arrive on site within three business days to perform destruction of material. Upon completion of each pickup service, the Contractor will complete and provide the customer with a Certification of Document Destruction. This formal certificate of destruction indicates the actual destruction has taken place and what was destroyed. The Certificate of Destruction must include: Contractor company name, location of facility, date service provided, number of containers shredded, or number of pounds shredded and signature and title. No material will be taken from the facility to be destroyed at another location. No material is to be left on the truck overnight for shredding the next working day. Materials must be shredded at the time of arrival. The Contractor will assign an "Account Point of Contact" to communicate and work directly with the Government representative on all matters related to the contract.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The quantity of bins to be shredded will vary from a minimum of 15 to a max of 71. The scope of this requirement may increase as mission dictates. Material to be shredded will only be paper products. Material shall be destroyed at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level In Accordance With (IAW) CUI Notice 2019-03 and paragraph 2a below. The container will be approximately 95 gallons in size and hold approximately 300 pounds of material when full.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to conversate, use telephone, and emergency information systems. Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations. Ability to move safely around work area. Ability to retrieve items from high and low areas. Ability to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or textures. Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most workdays. Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day. Must wear required personal protective equipment. EMOTIONAL CAPACITIES: Must be able to change routine in a positive manner. Must be able to follow through on assignments independently. Must have good organizational skills. Must have a long attention span in order to listen to people, perceive the real problems and bring issues to a successful conclusion. Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given point in time. Must possess effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must have stable work behaviors on a daily basis. Must have adequate individual coping skills. Must be able to maintain good work attendance. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions even in emergency situations. Must be able to exercise good judgment in an effort to maintain a safe work environment.
