Job Summary As an On-Call Job Coach, you will play a crucial role in training and supervising adults with disabilities in both enclave and individual placement settings. Your efforts will focus on enhancing vocational skills and work habits, ensuring individuals achieve maximum independence in their roles.
Key Responsibilities Client Support: Provide hands-on training and support at job sites, assisting with travel training, money management, and other essential skills. Advocate for client rights and self-advocacy. Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with business owners and management where clients are placed, ensuring satisfaction with Toolworks' services and promoting ongoing partnerships. Quality and Compliance: Perform site inspections to maintain high standards of service and address any potential safety issues. Document client progress and manage required reporting and compliance activities. Team Collaboration: Engage in agency staff meetings, trainings, and retreats. Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality in all interactions, treating clients and co-workers with respect and dignity. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years' experience working with adults with disabilities, preferably in a community setting. Bilingual abilities in American Sign Language, Spanish, or Cantonese highly desirable. Exceptional organizational and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Must be adaptable, with the ability to recognize and respond to unusual or urgent circumstances involving clients. Compensation Hourly wage of $21.53.
