Job Description
The IT Business Analyst role will conduct a comprehensive assessment of our clients asset inventory. This project focuses on updating various asset categories, including hardware, software, network devices, and data repositories. You will collaborate closely with the project team to conduct a thorough assessment of the existing asset inventory, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in the documentation. Additionally, you will be key in updating CVE information related to issues within the clients system, MetricStream. Your ability to gather information from stakeholders and subject matter experts will be critical to ensure the accuracy of the documentation updates.

Responsibilities:

Conduct a thorough evaluation of the existing asset inventory.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and document gaps, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies within the existing asset documentation.

Implement strategies to maintain the accuracy and completeness of the asset inventory.

Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders through regular reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Previous experience in an IT analyst role or similar capacity.
Familiarity with asset management principles and best practices.
Basic proficiency in SQL and experience with asset management systems is a plus.
Basic understanding of security concepts, including cyber, cloud, and IT security.
Experience in auditing or evidence review, demonstrating the ability to assess and review documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Technical background or experience in IT operations is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies in asset documentation.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Familiarity with Splunk or similar data analytics platforms is preferred.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data privacy regulations, and industry standards is beneficial.
Experience with MetricStream or similar governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms is advantageous.
