Under the direction of the Supervisor for Instructional Support, the Instructional Support Coordinator will support the supervisor in managing and providing oversight to programs implemented by the Division of Academics, including but not limited to, administrative procedures, course catalog, and summer programs. The incumbent of this position will provide professional development and collaborate with district offices and local agencies that provide for these areas of responsibility.The Instructional Support Coordinator assures that programs are carried out in accordance with established procedures and practices established by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), federal and state laws, the Board of Education, and any other applicable policies and procedures that may apply.

This is an ASASP Unit III Table 900 position Grade 26
Salary Range: $65,211 - $131,247
Closing Date: May 25, 2024
This position is contingent on the approval of the FY25 budget.
Detailed Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Coordinates the Division of Academics administrative procedures in collaboration with stakeholders/workgroups and in alignment with the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), related procedures and best practices; Facilitates cross-functional summer program related duties with offices including Budget, Human Resources, Payroll, Capital Programs, Information Technology and other departments; Oversees the data acquisition and management tasks associated with the Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) course catalog, related documents and reports; Leads the facilitation of working sessions with key staff, maintenance of records, development of reports related to the operation of the course catalog and summer programs; Maintains databases used to track work products and projects related to administrative procedures, course catalog, and summer programs; Provides guidance and serves as a subject matter expert on matters related to administrative procedures, course catalog, and summer programs; Attends meetings and provides presentations related to administrative procedures, course catalog, and summer programs; Develops and leads related professional development and/or training sessions; Reviews and assists in drafting internal policies and procedures for the department and coordinates publications and availability to staff; and Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Knowledge of student information systems, including scheduling, course catalog, grading; Knowledge of administrative procedures; Knowledge of summer program logistics; Administrative, public speaking and human relations skills; Ability to develop and lead professional development and/or training sessions; Excellent written and oral communication and technology skills (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, Canvas, Oracle, student information systems); Effective collaboration, problem identification, problem-solving and decision-making skills; Ability to initiate correspondence and prepare professional reports; Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and direct a variety of workgroups, programs and services; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; Ability to function effectively in multiple environments. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, business administration or related field required. A minimum of three (3) years of successful related experience required. Previous experience in personnel and program evaluation preferred. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
None required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and provides guidance and direction to assigned personnel. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
