Information Services & Technologies Internship

Job DescriptionNortheast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) has an opening for an Information Services & Technologies Intern at the Palmyra, Missouri, location. Northeast Power is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa.
This is a paid internship starting in summer of 2024. Normal working days are Monday through Friday, with some flexibility in scheduled working days/hours depending on the designated work project.
What You Will Do: This position will provide an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience with IT systems, IT infrastructure and telecommunications facilities. This internship will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a multi-platform computing environment. In addition, you will:
Install software updates including but not limited to firmware, driver, security, performance, and service packsAssist with the operation and maintenance of telecommunications facilitiesProvide assistance to benchmark, analyze, report and make recommendations for the improvement of IT infrastructure and IT systemsWhat We Are Looking For: We are looking for a highly driven individual who is well organized and extremely detail oriented. Ideally you will actively be working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field. In addition, we are looking for:
Junior or Senior standing; Sophomores or recent grads may be consideredHave a cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higherHighly proficient with personal computers and associated applications
