Responsibilities
• Perform all functions of terminal operations as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Plant Coordinator• Operation of equipment, including but not limited to Wheel Loaders, E Crane, Krupp Stacker/Reclaimer, D-9 and D-10 dozers, Ship Loader, Conveyor systems and CBU• Responsible for observing all company safety rules and regulations• Keeping a high standard of quality while fulfilling the duties of the position• Assist maintenance department as required to perform various minor maintenance duties• General upkeep and service of equipment• Adhering to required work schedule• Taking direction from the supervisor(s)• Following work rules• Passing company drug screen, background check, and any other applicable tests and clearances
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred• Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, front end loaders, conveyors and large dozers preferred• Previous experience in an industrial or bulk handling facility preferred• Must be able to work with a team and focus attention on details• Must possess the physical and mental dexterity to manipulate pedals, levers, and buttons• Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance• Must be able to work overtime, respond to call outs, and work a rotating shift schedule• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, negotiate uneven surfaces, and carry up to 50 lbs• Must be able to attain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
