Working/Functional Title Imaging Center Coordinator
Position Summary Participation in team meetings for construction and scientific oversight to facilitate smooth start-up and commissioning of the new equipment. Developing policies, procedures and rates for the animal imaging center using best practices that meet all regulatory requirements. Coordinating building operations and continuity plans for the facility with all campus and external partners, including all aspects of procurement for related supplies and services. Assisting principal investigators conducting large animal research in the imaging center as needed Commitment to Professionalism

Critical Employee
The individual in this position is designated as a critical employee with essential functions and reports to work when the university is in modified operations. Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Biomedical Sciences; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in facilities and building operations management, including building management systems; experience with financial management including budgeting and accounting; imaging large animals, managing an imaging facility, leading work in a scientific lab, conducting research studies in translational medicine setting, developing procedures, policies, and rates; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in biomedical science field Advanced training or certifications related to the position 5-8 years of experience working with large animals (25 to 100 lbs) in a research setting, including surgical techniques 3-5 years of experience in biomedical imaging including MR At least 3 years of experience managing an animal imaging center. Willingness to work occasional alternate shifts when needed to accommodate research needs. This position may require availability outside of standard working hours to respond to emergencies as they arise. Candidates should be prepared to be on call and available to assist as needed.
