Compliance Management
Stay abreast of federal, state, and local labor laws, ensuring all HR practices and policies align with legal requirements. Oversee the adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other regulatory guidelines. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with HR-related regulations and standards. Policy Administration
Maintain HR policies and procedures consistent with organizational objectives and legal requirements. Provide guidance to management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Review and update employee handbooks and other HR documentation to reflect changes in policies or legislation. Safety Systems Management
Collaborate with department heads to establish and maintain a comprehensive safety program. Conduct safety training sessions for employees and supervisors, emphasizing best practices and regulatory compliance. Manage worker's compensation claims and return to work programs, ensuring employees receive appropriate support and resources. Employee Relations
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Handle employee complaints and grievances, conducting thorough investigations and implementing appropriate resolutions. Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee morale, engagement, and retention. Recruitment and Onboarding
Lead recruitment efforts for the plant including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates. Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization and compliance with all required documentation. HR Data Management
Maintain accurate and up to date employee records, including personnel files, payroll information, and performance evaluations. Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision making processes and identify trends or areas for improvement. Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or related field Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly related to safety and compliance Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on proactive solutions. Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite Certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus.
