The Graduate Engineer, Mechanical participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: HVAC wet/dry, plumbing, controls and the like.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesAssists in performing engineering tasks for the design of utilities and HVAC (wet/dry) systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities Assists in preparation of mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise Works closely in coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), general arrangements and sequences of operation associated with these systems Other duties as assigned The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
