CHG is dedicated to creating world-class food and beverage experiences with a focus on people. Its mission is to become an integral member of the communities it serves by developing hospitality concepts that foster trust, belonging, and support. CHG's latest project is unique to Morristown, NJ. As the food service manager for a new state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot office building, CHG will operate multiple F&B outlets onsite, including a groundfloor restaurant and bar (open to the public), conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts. This job presents an incredible opportunity to lead the development and onsite operations team as a senior leader, and to leave an indelible mark on the Morristown community.
Role Overview:
The General Manager for The Morris Proper will partner with the Director of F&B and the Executive Chef to set, meet, and exceed the goals of the business by ensuring alignment with the mission, values, and goals of CHG as a whole. The General Manager must possess strong leadership skills, a friendly yet competitive spirit, and a passion for hospitality, building high-performing teams, and delivering hospitality to everyone they come in contact with. Responsibilities:?  Lead team members in delivering consistent, memorable moments of hospitality for our guests  Collaborate with the management team to keep a continuous pulse on all guest feedback channels, seeking opportunities to improve the guest experience and strengthen a devoted base of regulars. Work closely with The Culinary & Operations Team to ensure seamless execution of events, from staffing to hands on event support Conduct weekly meetings with the management team to track The Morris Proper's performance. Consistently offer positive and constructive feedback to drive a high-performing team dedicated to hospitality, excellence, and achievement of business goals  Foster a close partnership with the Executive Chef and kitchen management team, ensuring alignment on business goals and initiatives  Provide coaching and guidance to all team members to ensure they see an attainable and long lasting career with CHG Consistently look for internal and external opportunities to build our growing team in alignment with our goals of diversity and inclusion Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and staff retention in partnership with our HR Team. Balance day-to-day operational and administrative responsibilities with excellence, using sound judgment to make decisions that are best for both the short term and long-term health of the business??  Build an infrastructure and foundation?for operational excellence through clarity of roles,?goals,?and resources, ensuring that all systems and processes are efficient and accessible  Act as a partner to HQ departments, leveraging subject matter expertise to ensure alignment and support roll outs, training, and communication of company-wide initiatives?  Build trusting relationships with other CHG Leaders to foster communication, collaboration, support, and sharing of best practices for well-informed decision making  Qualifications:  5+ years of leadership experience in restaurant management Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required Must be flexible to work nights and weekends.  Proficient knowledge of systems and processes in?restaurant?management  Strong business and financial acumen  English fluency and Spanish knowledge preferred  Benefits:  Salary: $80k-$100k Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Life and Vision insurance 401(k) to help you invest in your future  Paid time off to help support your life outside of work Work alongside collaborative team members who support CHG's core values and are eager to be a part of CHG's founding operation
