Financial Accountant is available in Columbus, OH. The Financial Accountant responsibilities include preparing and maintaining accurate financials, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and contributing to the efficient financial management of aircraft operations. You will assist in the preparation of financial reconciliations and statements, support audits, and assist in the close process and analysis for aviation-related results. Your Responsibilities: Accounting Functions
Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, bank transactions, prepaid schedules, accruals, and reconciliations. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash and credit card account reconciliations, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and support external audit documentation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Finance Functions
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other regulatory reports as required. Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances in financial performance against budget and prior periods, highlighting key trends and insights. General Functions
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance controls and systems, and improve financial reporting efficiency. Required Experience, Qualifications, and Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. Entry level, 0-3 years' experience in an accounting role. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience with NetSuite, SAP or related large ERP systems a plus. Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office products. Ability to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in English required.
