DESCRIPTIONParticipates in the development of project plan including identifying and proposing solutions to potential problem areas, for health campus buildings and infrastructure. Supports senior planners and project managers in planning and overseeing disruption mitigations for construction projects in patient care areas; as well as coordination and facilitation of complex infrastructure shutdowns; Work with senior planners, regulatory team and departments to support the preparation of spaces for licensing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, business, healthcare administration or related area, plus three (3) years of related experience/training, OR Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training.
Experience in space planning, functional-space programming, equipment planning, logistics planning, and/or capital project development, preferably in a complex healthcare organization.
Proven ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications and communicate information to lay persons.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical centers and university organizations, activities, functions and goals.
Solid ability to work effectively in a team environment, in a dynamic environment of constantly changing priorities without compromising work quality and productivity.
Ability to coordinate the work of individuals across a variety of health systems and campus offices, architects, project managers and committees in meeting deadlines.
Effectively present findings and communicate clearly and effectively to a broad variety of people in writing and in person.
Working knowledge of computer systems and applications, including spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software.
Ability to employ interpersonal skills in situations calling for tact, diplomacy and flexibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree in Architecture, professional engineering, healthcare administration, or other planning-related field.Experience in transition/activation, logistics, and/or move planning.Exposure to clinical operations and workflow.Demonstrated experience with HCAI and CDPH or similar regulatory agencies.Understanding of medical equipment planning and procurement.SPECIAL CONDITIONSMust be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $63,400 - $142,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $30.36 - $68.39
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
