Chelsea Hospitality Group (CHG) is a new sibling brand of Dartcor Food Services—a family-owned corporate dining business with nearly four decades of experience in the tri-state area. CHG is dedicated to creating world-class food and beverage experiences with a focus on people. Its mission is to become an integral member of the communities it serves by developing hospitality concepts that foster trust, belonging, and support. CHG's latest project is unique to Morristown, NJ. As the food service manager for a new state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot office building, CHG will operate multiple F&B outlets onsite, including a groundfloor restaurant and bar (open to the public), conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts. Role Overview: The Executive Chef is responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring a superior guest experience through excellent food and hospitality. The Executive Chef will partner with the General Manager and the Director of F&B to set, meet, and exceed the goals of the operation by ensuring alignment with the mission and values of CHG. The Executive Chef must possess strong leadership skills, a friendly yet competitive spirit, and a passion for creating delicious food, building high-performing teams, and delivering hospitality to everyone he or she comes in contact with.
Responsibilities: Build and lead a high performing kitchen team and maintain excellence & hospitality throughout each day's specific service periods Lead and coach the Culinary Team in delivering consistent execution of food and timely flow of service Continually enhance, refine, and update our culinary programming to evolve with the seasons and the guest population Set the standard for all recipes, product, food preparations and food execution and hold the team accountable to meeting brand specifications and commitment to culinary excellence, food cost metrics and food safety Partner with the Morris Proper's General Manager to foster a positive, collaborative work environment for both the service and kitchen teams, ensuring clear communication at all times Provide coaching and guidance to all team members, ensuring that pathways for growth and development are attainable for all team members Consistently looks for internal and external opportunities to build our growing team in alignment with our goals of diversity, inclusion, and belonging Build trusting relationships with other CHG Leaders to foster communication, collaboration, support, and sharing of best practices for well-informed decision making Act as a partner to HQ departments, leveraging subject matter expertise to ensure alignment and support roll outs, training, and communication of company-wide initiatives Qualifications: 5+ years of culinary leadership experience in similar environment Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, restaurant scheduling, inventory and purchasing experience necessary English fluency and Spanish preferred, but not required Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time Benefits: Salary: $100k-$120k Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Life, and Vision insurance 401(k) to help you invest in your future Paid time off to help support your life outside of work A clear career path with opportunities for growth, both professionally and personally An opportunity to make a lasting impact on the Morristown community Work alongside collaborative team members who support CHG's core values and are eager to be a part of CHG's founding operation
