Environmental Engineer 3 Location Atlanta, GA : We are currently seeking an Environmental Engineer to support a wide variety of environmental projects. The preferred candidates will have field experience working at Superfund and other contaminated sites, running complex field programs, preparing planning documents and preparing reports for environmental characterization and remediation projects. The preferred candidate will have experience with evaluating remedial alternatives and engineering design of remedial approaches for contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater. The preferred candidate will perform well in a task leader/task manager role and have a desire to advance their career as either a project technical leader or project manager. As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: Performing remedial construction oversight and quality control Estimating remedial costs for feasibility studies Authoring feasibility studies Overseeing surface and subsurface soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and other field data collection to support environmental and water supply projects. Performing engineering design for environmental projects, including preparation of drawings, specifications, calculations, and developing operation, maintenance, and monitoring plans. Conducting sustainability and/or resilience reviews or designs. Reviewing draft assessments and calculations for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Working on a variety of assignments, which may include field studies, research investigations, construction oversight, data interpretation and evaluation, or report preparation. Learning project management techniques and the CDM Smith management system. Managing tasks on large projects or phases of small projects. Developing external client interaction and marketing skills. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Driver's License Requirements
An appropriate and valid driver's license is required. Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a PE with the addition of an LSP (Georgia License Site Professional) Experience in solid waste/landfill/CCR permitting, design and construction experience for at least 10 years and a track record of high value client relationship building and ability to win work in a regional area within Georgia. Experience developing cost estimates for feasibility studies and remedial designs, field experience working at Superfund, mining, and other contaminated sites, running complex field programs, preparing planning documents and preparing reports for environmental characterization and remediation projects. This position is best suited for an individual that is excited to develop experience across a range of managerial and technical skills. Experience with supervision and mentoring of junior engineers and in construction management. Amount of Travel Required

Ability to deal with many people and process a large volume of requests as necessary. Good personal computer skills including advanced knowledge in the use of MS Word and Excel.
