Responsibilities
• Develop relationships with clinical providers and staff• Conduct provider training on coding initiatives• Customize presentations to educate providers and staff• Track and report on coding program performance metrics• Conduct chart reviews and review provider performance• Evaluate documentation to ensure proper coding• Participate in monthly quality reviews• Assist in meeting departmental goals• Respond to compliance and coding inquiries• Analyze data and present solutions for coding trends
Requirements
• Must reside in Nashville, TN• Coding certification required• 2 years of hospital or medical office coding experience• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/outpatient and CPT coding principles• Understanding of medical terminology and anatomy• Working knowledge of CPT and CMS Risk Adjustment coding• Strong computer skills• Prior audit/quality experience• Prior teaching/training experience• Available for travel and flexible work schedule
