Job Description: A District Manager will perform the daily routines of scheduling, account management and new facility prospecting. These candidates receive training and support from their upstream Chain of Command including the Regional Manager and the persons associated with National Sales Management at the corporate level. This position is expected to take direction from upstream chain of command and to provide leadership in their assigned District and area(s). A district is defined as a geographically contiguous area that is broken down into several smaller localities each being designated as an area. Each area may or may not have an Area Manager - who reports to the District Manager in all responsibilities. A successful District Manager manages his/her field resources (downstream Chain of Command) in a manner to ensure that the District and State goals for new memberships, new facilities, events and publicity are met.
Duties & Responsibilities: The District Manager will
Be primarily responsible for both selling and the management of area managers and District sales contractors. District sales efforts are best accomplished through regular and professional facility relationships, conversion of prospects into facility customers, class pitches and event based activities. Maintain and advance relationships with District Facilities Maintain all Point of sale materials at facilities. This is currently defined as maintaining all materials at recommended levels of current versions. These materials must be displayed as per the Facility Lease Agreement. Training and support of Facility staff. Using the provided LMS functionality and direct face to face sessions. District Managers and their assigned downstream resources will maintain good relations with Facilities Staff and Management and will ensure that they are kept informed using all communications technologies at their disposal. District Managers should always be working with Facilities to increase sales and event attendance. District Managers will use the Salesforce CRM and log all Facility interactions according to SOP's. All District Manager Reports and checklists must be completed, organized and reported through Chain of Command. District Manager will be given quotas for prospecting and signing new Facilities within the geographic boundaries of the District. District Managers should maintain lists of prospects within their Areas, so that analysis can be done regarding market share and market penetration. District Managers are expected to work their existing network of likely partners and affiliates and to develop new network contacts through their attendance at events (Seminars, Gun Shows, Classes, Exhibitions and retail visitations). All network contacts should be tracked and measured through Salesforce. District Managers are expected to maintain the highest levels of Professional behavior, knowledge and techniques personally and to cultivate similar standards within all downstream staff. District Managers will be required to maintain and grow the functional skills of their downstream staff. The CTS will assist by providing both foundational and skill specific training to ensure that Field Sales Staff can perform at appropriate levels. District Managers will review all timesheets, expense and sales reports. District Managers will be accountable that all SOP's and field procedures are followed. District Manager will acquire, maintain and enhance their own knowledge of the firearms industry and its markets. Qualifications and Educational Requirements High School Diploma (Required) Bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years in sales Sales management and/or personnel management experience preferred Preferred Skills B2B sales Membership sales Strong communication skills Must be extremely organized Technology Competencies: District Managers will be required to use these technologies and services to complete daily tasks and responsibilities.
