Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team at Jackson Mechanical. The Dispatcher will play a crucial role in coordinating service calls, scheduling technicians, and ensuring timely responses to our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatching, preferably in the mechanical trade industry.
Key Responsibilities: Receive and prioritize service requests from clients via phone, email, or other communication channels. Schedule and dispatch technicians to service calls, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely response to client needs. Communicate with clients to provide updates on technician arrival times, service status, and any other relevant information. Coordinate with technicians to ensure they have the necessary information and materials to complete service calls. Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician schedules, and client communications. Assist in resolving any scheduling conflicts or emergencies that may arise. Provide administrative support to the service department as needed. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dispatching role, preferably in the mechanical trade industry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in computer software programs, including scheduling and dispatching software. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during high-volume or emergency situations. Knowledge of mechanical systems and terminology is preferred but not required. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
