Discover your exciting roleThis position is for Exyte's ATF Semiconductor Tool Install Engineering Group. The Design Manager position is responsible for coordinating the work of the design leads and design team that are producing tool install construction documents. The Design Manager works to ensure the team meets the schedule requirements while also working with the schedulers to level the client schedule. The Design Manager is also responsible for ensuring the team is performing the contracted scope of work and working with the design leads to create and process all needed change orders. The Design Manager is also responsible for reporting project status to the client. Candidates should be highly organized and detail oriented, have excellent time management skills with a strong work ethic. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Must be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representatives. Candidates should be energetic and self motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to resolve conflict and solve problems while leading by example. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Basic understanding of AutoCad and Bluebeam a plus. Semi-conductor experience preferred but not required.
This position will be working on site at our Rio Rancho, NM location.
Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesAssists in ensuring the overall project design and production process is conducted following the prescribed Company processes and procedures and is in accordance with the stipulated project budget and schedule (including planning, monitoring and reporting) Assists in ensuring the project is following the basis of design by performing inter-disciplinary quality, coordination and space management reviews via weekly reviews with project teams Assists in ensuring the project is adhering to a strict change management process in accordance with project budget and schedule Assists in executing and enforcing the Project Execution Plan (PEP) including updating the PEP and associated material as needed when project conditions change Confirms to Project Manager adequate design and production resources are assigned to meet the project's overall cost, quality and schedule commitments as well as ensuring the forecast is current in Manpower Management System (MMS) In conjunction with the project Design Manager, functions as a single point of contact for all design related issues internally and externally, representing the overall project in communications with the client, having final technical accountability for overall project design and production (includes managing consultants not managed under other respective Disciplines) Assists in overseeing the Project VDC Coordination ensuring adequate hardware and software availability for project team including managing record drawings documentation, operation and maintenance manuals and hand over documentation Other duties as assigned
