ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Delivery Supervisor, you will manage all bus deliveries. Through leadership of GILLIG drivers, Management of logistic providers, and cross functional influencing, you will ensure all buses are delivered on time and in the most cost-effective manner. You will also lead initiatives to reduce cost and increase service while proactively resolving issues.
As an ideal candidate, you will be skilled at managing competing priorities and adapting to changing timelines. You will coordinate conversion from a physical document system to an electronic system. The visibility of this role will expose you to all levels of the organization, allowing you to positively impact operations every day. This role reports to the Senior Director of Supply Chain.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Manage all bus deliveries from the manufacturing facility
Identify, select, evaluate, and manage logistics providers
Manage in-house drivers for local deliveries and test driving requirements
Facilitate documentation of delivery requirements
Communicate cross functionally with Production, Carriers, Engineering, and Sales Team
Ensure the continuous improvement of service and total cost in support of business needs
Negotiate vendor agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
Act as a backup for the inbound Freight Logistics Coordinator
Performs other duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3+ years' experience in a freight, logistics, or supply chain role
1 year experience leading projects and/or teams
Experience managing Logistics providers
Strong problem-solving skills, organization skills, and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salesforce Experience preferred
Ability to analyze and make decisions based off large amounts of data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, and walk, and occasionally kneel or squat
Fast paced work environment
Standard start time 6:00 AM
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $275,000 / annual salary + premium benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
