Responsibilities
• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize legal agreements• Provide risk-based advice to clients on legal and policy issues in operations• Identify, assess, and provide advice on legal risk management• Participate in or lead initiatives or teams• Provide legal advice to ongoing projects and programs• Conduct comparative legal analyses and propose solutions• Engage in policy discussions and negotiations• Protect the World Bank's interests and promote its goals• Write and review policy papers• Prepare legal briefs• Advance knowledge management agenda and use of technology• Perform ad hoc assignments
Requirements
• LLM degree, J.D., or equivalent education• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience• Admission to the Bar (or equivalent) in at least one jurisdiction• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills• Excellent interpersonal skills• Experience in international, commercial, or contract law• Knowledge of legal risk management• Ability to work in multicultural environments• Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple tasks• Willingness to relocate to a World Bank country office
