The Professional Development and Publishing Office at ASHP is actively recruiting for a part-time freelance copyeditor. The successful candidate will be responsible for copyediting peer-reviewed technical/scientific book chapters and manuscripts for ASHP in conformance with ASHP style and conventions of biomedical publishing. 
This is a part-time role, anticipated to be in the range of 10-20 hours per week.  This position is not eligible for benefits.  This position is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the continental United States.
What You Bring To ASHP:
B.A. in Communications or English or B.S. in life sciencesMinimum of 5 years of editorial experience that includes copyediting for a scientific or biomedical publisherExperience with book publishingExceptional grasp of grammar and language skillsSuperb attention to detailFlexibility and good organizational skillsFamiliarity with AMA editorial styleAbility to track changes using redline feature of MS WordAbility to use Adobe Acrobat to edit/mark up article proofsKnowledge and understanding of healthcare issues a plus but not required
