Job Title: Construction Estimator Salary: $80,000-130,000 Location: Greater Minneapolis Overview : Responsible for bidding & estimating efforts - drawing and specification reviews, soliciting and negotiating subcontractors / suppliers pricing, performing quantity take-offs, pricing/scoping/bidding construction projects, and creating / completing bid / estimate packages in the trade(s) as assigned by the Lead Estimator
Key Responsibilities: Estimate costs and labor for projects related to utilities Review plans and specifications and use a variety of methods to determine the amount of materials, labor, and other costs necessary to complete the project Work with contractors to ensure accuracy and timely completion of all projects Keep informed of changing market conditions and materials costs Develop project budgets and establish project schedules Develop bid packages and distribute them to potential contractors Analyze bids and recommend the most cost-effective solution Prepare and present detailed cost estimates to clients Review drawings and contracts to ensure accuracy Provide technical advice and support to clients Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years' experience in construction, utilities, take offs, and estimating Knowledge of local building codes and regulations Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong understanding of the construction process Excellent math and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work in a team environment Benefits So, if you are experienced in estimating in Utilities, please apply today!
