We're looking for a strong writer and project manager with a curious mindset to join the Corporate Communications team within Global Marketing as a Strategic Communications Specialist.
What you will do:
The primary responsibility of this role is putting together communication plans, drafting the communications, and obtaining approval on internal and external communications about an issue, incident, natural disaster, or strategic communication initiative. An important part of this role will be understanding the impact of issues on the customers' business and being able to effectively articulate that impact as they advocate on behalf of the customer and the customer experience. The ideal candidate asks the right questions, thrives under pressure, quickly distills complex issues into simple messages, and believes in the power of writing to connect with employee and customer audiences.
Craft rapid response messaging to communicate with various stakeholders across multiple communication channels. Project manage strategic communications plans, ensuring alignment to goals and milestones, and identifying and elevating risks which may impact the project. Drive collaboration and communication necessary to ensure project and initiative success. Educate and enable employees, teams, and stakeholders internally in preparation for strategic communications and announcements. Keep appropriate stakeholders updated with latest information on high priority incidents through timely and regular written and verbal communications. What you will bring:
3+ years of work experience in a communications or marketing role. Ability to clearly articulate and communicate complex issues to many audiences, including global audiences. Very strong writer, with proven experience drafting excellent written communication on short timelines. Highly organized and capable of pushing multiple tasks/projects forward simultaneously. Thrives under pressure and with a customer service mindset. Must be deadline and detail-oriented while simultaneously being flexible and able to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Exceptional cross-group collaboration skills to successfully and independently work across many teams and functions. The starting base pay is $53,400.00 to $70,300.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations. Benefits Include:
