Responsibilities
• Develop and negotiate capital contracts with vendors• Oversee the capital bid process• Monitor contract performance• Interact with project managers• Coordinate with health system GPO through Vizient contract uptake• Negotiate with capital suppliers to draw up procurement contracts• Formulate and coordinate procurement proposals• Coordinate activities of workers engaged in formulating bid proposals• Coordinate with Legal on review of contracts and variances• Evaluate or monitor contract performance• Approve or reject requests for deviations from contract specifications• Arbitrate claims or complaints occurring in the performance of contracts• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data• Review and identify opportunities for process improvements and expense reduction• May serve as liaison officer between capital suppliers and department leadership• May complete unit/department specific duties
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business field• Three (3) years of experience in a related field• Strong analytical and computer skills• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's degree• Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department
