Lithos Carbon revolutionizes the carbon capture industry through enhanced rock weathering technology. We work with farmers to spread basalt rock on farmland, which increases soil health and repurposes post-industrial waste. Our technology is aimed at removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere at a fraction of the cost of other methods, while helping farmers improve crop yields. About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Operations Lead. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategy & ops, biz dev, partnerships, government relations, and/or supply chain, with an interest in agriculture, carbon markets, government, geology, and/or sustainability. The Business Operations Lead position is a full-time hybrid role reporting to the Head of Carbon Strategy and primarily working with team members based in Bellevue, WA. This is a cross-functional role and we value a demonstrated eagerness to dive deeply into new topics.
Responsibilities
You will support Lithos' expansion across a variety of areas including our carbon strategy, finance, and corporate operations. You will lead and manage distinct priorities within these topics.
Carbon Strategy: Develop our carbon business, developing end to end carbon operations, programs, and best practices. You will apply principled thinking to first-of-a-kind problems in the carbon removal space and work closely with teams to deliver on our carbon agreements. Finance & Accounting: Build out our financial planning and analysis processes and reporting by implementing financial tools, developing predictive financial models, and performing analyses on new business opportunities. Corporate Operations: Develop best in class rhythm of the business processes by creating the corporate foundation that can support our next phase of growth. Create scalable processes that allow for both flexibility and structure that can handle changing priorities. Requirements The below represents attributes that our ideal candidate possesses. Minimum of 4+ years of experience in an early-stage high-growth company (e.g., chief of staff, biz ops, partnerships, etc.), relevant voluntary carbon market experience, or management consulting at a top firm Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to use advanced functions to develop holistic financial models Excellent writing skills - able to distill complex ideas into clear and compelling arguments Proven ability to proactively identify potential problems or opportunities and create targeted approaches to address them with minimal support/input Flexible and adaptable, capable of driving progress cross-functionally with scientific, operational, and external stakeholders Desire to 'get your hands dirty' Top 10% attention to detail Independence and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment where priorities can shift on a monthly basis Experience in any of the following areas is strongly preferred: agriculture, carbon dioxide removal, finance, corporate sustainability What we're looking for
