Job Summary:The role of the Body Shop Paint Specialist is to deliver a premium retail experience to our clientele while maintaining a high quality and performance-oriented environment. He/she will be measured by achieving 100% or greater hour efficiency; delivering the highest quality paint repairs without comebacks; and by maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. The Technician must have a minimum of five years' experience in a dealership atmosphere and/or in a continuous improvement process/procedure-oriented shop environment.. He/she will be expected to produce outstanding quality results on time or earlier.The ideal Collision Center Technician is a highly experienced auto paint specialist who takes extreme pride in his/her quality of work, has an unrestricted driver's license, clean driving record, tear-down and finish work experience, a strong a trustworthy demeanor, and can drive both an automatic and standard.Benefits:* Medical- 4 plans (BCBS)DentalVisionTerm LifeCompany-paid Term Life* STD/LTDAccident indemnity riderPTO / Sick days (annually)401(k) with an employer matchEmployee Assistant ProgramFMLA / Maternity/Paternity LeaveBereavement LeaveDuties and Responsibilities:The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:Perform work outlined on repair order with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality, and in accordance with dealership, insurance company, and GM, Mazda, and Kia standardsImmediately communicate with body shop manager if additional work is needed; if work outlines is not needed; and/or if repairs cannot be completed in the promised timeDocument all work performed and recommended on the repair order, with proper flag sheets, technician notes, etc.Participate in all Paint Company, ICAR, ASE, or other training programs, certifications, schools, and eventsPerform daily cleaning of all body shop areas prior to leaving for the dayMaintain dealership-owned tools and manuals in good working order and assume accountability for those tools; return all tools/manuals to their proper place after useUnderstand, stay abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.Operate all tooling and equipment in a safe mannerImmediately report safety issues to managementAssist fellow technicians in the learning process and act as a mentor to new technicians by illustrating best practices and by embracing/promoting quality repairsAdhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standardsOther duties as assigned.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
