Job Description
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Senior Info Assurance Engineer to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training environment at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N) to support the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) team, at Nellis, NV. Part of a team that provides on-site M&S support for the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) and Air Combatant Command (ACC); Establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of JITTC-N simulator activities and JSE, including training combat/tactical warfighters, C4ISR/remote sensing capabilities integration and training, and battle-space awareness; Assist Government in expansion of centrally managed capabilities beyond Nellis AFB, providing distributed JITTC-N training support to other Service/Joint partner facilities, including the Distributed Training Center (DTC), and the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC).
Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs and implements information assurance and security engineering systems with requirements of business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management). Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. Validates system security requirements definition and analysis. Establishes system security designs. Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities. Supports secure systems operations and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience. Active Top Secret DoD clearance. Strong understanding and experience with the Risk Management Framework, JSIG, RMF Bodies of Evidence Excellent oral and written communication skills, collaboration skills, and experience in presenting cybersecurity issues to all levels of management, as well as non-technical staff Strong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Requirements Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, and five (5) years of relevant experience, as described below. In absence of a degree, nine (9) relevant experience as described below. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 additional years of experience. Strong understanding and experience with the Risk Management Framework, JSIG, RMF Bodies of Evidence Five (5) years of experience with any combination of the following: cybersecurity, network security architecture, system hardening, auditing/compliance methods, Information Technology, and/or systems security engineering concepts such as topology, protocols, components, and/or principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth). Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance as stipulated by NISPOM/DAAPM, JSIG, ICD 503, STIGs and associated NIST publications Excellent oral and written communication skills, collaboration skills, and experience in presenting cybersecurity issues to all levels of management, as well as non-technical staff trong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment TS/SCI clearance
