Assistant Chief Engineer

The Doubletree by Hilton Binghamton is hiring an Assistant Chief Engineer. Responsibilities: The Assistant Chief Engineer will assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing all property maintenance operations including capital projects. The ideal candidate should have expertise in HVAC. Candidates should be hands-on with strong MEP experience, additionally, they should be good at handling staff. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all phases of hotel engineering - plumbing, electrical, HVAC certified, certified in boiler maintenance, preventative maintenance, etc., and will be able to effectively delegate work and tasks to subordinates to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel. Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills Qualifications: • Previous Assistant Chief Engineering or supervisory experience in a hotel setting is preferred (minimum of two years) • Have a solid understanding of all phases of hotel engineering - plumbing, electrical, HVAC certified, experience in boiler maintenance and preventative maintenance • Effectively delegate work and tasks to subordinates to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel • Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills Compensation: $59,000 - $62,000 yearly
