Assistant Buyer

Full job description Frantz Manufacturing Company is a 115-year-old business leader in bearings and steel ball production and sales. It is located in Sterling, Illinois. We have an opening for a Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Assistant Buyer to help procure indirect goods and supplies to support maintenance, facilities, tooling, production equipment, and other duties.
Ideal candidates will have a purchasing background emphasizing maintenance materials and parts. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, knowledge of Excel and data gathering, and have prior experience in manufacturing and purchasing (MRO Preferred). The candidates must have a proven record of success working in a Team environment. Proven ability to weed out and negotiate for best prices is a plus!
