Position Summary
Assists in the planning and implementation of a program of meaningful activities, appropriate to the needs and interests of the participants. Helps to provide programs that promote the creative, physical, spiritual, social, and mental wellbeing of each participant. In targeted environments. May participate in ADL's as client needs demand. Schedule:  Sunday-Thursday 8am-4pm. This is a Full-Time Position. Essential Duties Assist in planning and conduct activity programs to meet the needs of residents. Responsible for the safety of the residents under supervision. Invite and encourage residents to participate in activity programs. Distribute facility newsletter to each resident the first of each month. Document resident attendance at activities, and any other significant interaction with resident, on a daily basis. Assist Activity Director in the planning and facilitating of all programs. Prepare resident's birthday menu, tray and card. Update orientation boards daily and prepare and display posters for residents' birthdays, employees' birthdays and employees' anniversaries monthly. Drive facility vans to transport residents to activities held outside of facility. Attend meetings, in-services and educational programs as required. Maintain professionalism at all times including confidentiality of information regarding the residents and the facility, appropriate dress and behavior in and out of the facility. Practice good infection control and safety measures. At 8:30 a.m. in the dining room, reads a poem or inspirational verse, announces the morning activities and the lunch menu. Uses the P.A. system. Completes other job duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications & Experience High school graduate; higher education desirable but not mandatory. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Aptitude in arts crafts and games. Sincere interest in and desire to work with the elderly; experience preferred. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and be able to handle residents on a daily basis. Assist Activity Director in the planning and facilitating of all programs. This position requires weekend, possibly evening and holiday activities. Normal hours are 8:00/8:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m. Must be able to bend and stoop as well as push, pull and/or lift a minimum of fifty pounds. Confidence with public speaking and leading groups. EOE

The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers in the state of Colorado to disclose the following information. Pay Range Minimum: $16.48 per hour ; Maximum: $18.01 per hour.  The base range represents the low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. We provide a variety of benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off (PTO) and Employee assistance program.
