Accounts Payable Specialist

Mad City Windows and Baths   is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist   to join our Accounting team in Madison, WI.  This role will be responsible for facilitating vendor invoices and payments. This role verifies and records transactions, assists with vendor discrepancies and performs other tasks ensuring bills are paid timely. Cversee entry of invoices into the accounting system Assist with vendor invoice imports Manage AP daily banking activity transactions Oversee processing of discount, refund, and permit checks weekly Print checks and prepare/initiate any ACH payments Weekly Positive Pay upload Record bill payments made electronically (ACH, credit card) Work with vendors to resolve account discrepancies Ongoing vendor maintenance in ERP system Assist with monthly vendor statements Assist with any other AP tasks as needed/requested to ensure AP deadlines are met What You'll Bring: Associates Degree or bachelor's degree in accounting is required 2-3 years' experience in accounts payable preferred Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters and customer information Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs Strong organizational ability and attention to details with meticulous recordkeeping Effective corporate communication skills Work effectively on a team and across the organization Ability to multitask and prioritize to consistently meet deadlines Capable of working in a fast-paced environment Who We Are: Mad City Windows and Baths   is  one of the fasting growing remodeling compan ies in the USA and is dedicated to helping families  throughout the Midwest .  The team at  Mad City puts more than 50 years of experience to work for homeowners across the M idwest , delivering superior results and unmatched customer care at competitive prices.
