This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the accounting/finance department and overall business operations at a growing company. The Accounting Manager's responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, growing and mentoring the accounting team, and handling ad hoc projects as they arise.
Responsibilities: Maintain records of financial transactions and general ledger accounts Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations Assist in the month-end close processes Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting Prepare and file S&U tax filings and other local filings Perform bank reconciliations, track expenses, and maintain accurate records Review financial reports, create meaningful analytics, and provide analysis to senior management Monitor variances between actual results and budgeted/forecasted amounts and provide explanations for significant discrepancies Develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, promoting professional development and growth opportunities for team members Maintaining documentation of financial transaction and general ledger accounts for accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and treasury Manage, investigate, and solve commission inquiries for the company's sales force and for management Look for c ontinuous improvement of the accounting processes to increase efficiency Assist in preparing for a GAAP financial statement audit Assist in ad-hoc reporting, projects, and other related duties as assigned Qualifications: BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience (Big 4, CPA firm, industry)2+ years in a supervisory role, preferred High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly skilled in Excel Experience managing or leading others Excellent communication (written & verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to problem solve, take initiative, maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information Strong attention to detail Teamwork and collaboration skills Must pass pre-employment testing (drug screen and background check)$70000 - $90000 / year
