SCOPE: Reporting to the Sr. Accountant of Amarillo Gear Company, the Accounting Intern will help maintain assigned General Ledger accounts with journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with company reporting requirements, assist in the recording of cash receipts and credit card payments, creating customer invoices, and provide general support for the financial and accounting processes of the company. SPECIAL SKILLS/ Requirements: Pursuing an accounting or business degree Proficient typing skills with data entry experience preferred Strong attention to detail Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products Good communication EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE: 60+ credit hours towards degree RESPONSIBILITIES: Process invoices for prior day shipments and respond to any invoice requests from customers. Apply cash receipts and mark prepaid customer orders "paid" when payment is received. Track and enter all scrap sales and inventory scrap transactions. Run credit reports on customers as needed. Match accounts payable invoices with receivers. Enter accounts payable invoices as needed. All other duties assigned.
